Our History

Sheu Isa was born at No. 1 Abibor, in Ghana in the year 1937, his father’s name is Abdulahi Alabi Gbadamosi, who hails from the household of Langa in Saki Oyo state. His mother’s name is Mariam Mohommodu Gaosu who hails from Ghana. Alhaji Gbadamosi happens to be an important trader who travelled to Ghana for trading, where he later met Sheu Isa’s mother, whom he professed love to and it became a reality. Hajiah Mariam got pregnant for Alhaji Gbadamosi after marriage, and this was a very exciting news for Seyeedah Moriam's father; Muhammodu Gaosu, and he pleaded with God to make the child a male child that will be full of blessings, because He; Muhammodu Gaosu did not give birth to any male child.

God answered his prayers and Hajiah Mariam eventually gave birth to a baby boy and everybody was happy. Alhaji Gbadamosi named the child Abdulsalam. After naming the child, he continued with his trade to a part of France, and this made Hajiah Maryam take the child to her father, her father welcomed her and asked for the name of the child, and she replied that the baby’s name is Abdulsalam, and her father replied that the name that was revealed to him by God is Isa, this is the reason why Sheu Isa is being referred to as Isa Abdulsalam Badmus. He lived with his maternal grandfather till he grew up, there he learnt Quran and other books on hadiths and so many others. He also did an apprentice as a mechanical Engineer and later worked in a company known as ARNAL BROTHERS, where he met a friend named Alhaji Ibrahim.

He was at work one day, after being on a night shift and then he decided to sleep for a while, and he had a dream where he saw Shiek Ahmod Tijani telling him to go and find out about Tijaniyah, this is where he woke up from the dream, and he narrated the dream to his friend Alhaji Ibrahim, who told him that he knows someone in Ghana that is in the Tijaniyyah way and he is also from Kano in Nigeria.

And this was how both of them embarked on a journey to see Sheik Abdullah Jafar (who later became his spiritual master) to show them the part to the Tijaniyyah order in 1962.

Sheu Isa started his wirdi with the fear of God while keeping to His commandments, for this reason Sheu Abdulahi Jafar took Sheu Isa and other Muridi’s to Khaolaq to meet Sheik Ibrahim Niyass and they spent three years there before returning to Ghana, they were there from 1965 and left in 1968. After Sheu Isa returned from Khaolaq, he started the work of God fully, one afternoon in 1969, someone came to call Sheu Isa where he was doing his askar that he has a visitor, when Sheu Isa got there, the visitor was Sheu Abdulahi Jafar , and he told him that it was sheik Ibrahim Niyas that sent him to him to inform him to go back to his father’s country which is Nigeria, because there are so many people there who truly wants to know about God and that is where he will accomplish his mission. But Sheu Isa didn’t agree because he has never been to Nigeria and he doesn’t understand Yoruba language , except Hausa, and that is the reason why he is refusing to come to Nigeria.

After sometimes, sheik Jafar went back to him to remind him and he blatantly refused again. But the will of God came to be that same year in 1969, when the Government of Ghana announced that they no longer want any foreigner in their country, Nkurumah was their president then. This announcement made Sheu Isa leave Ghana with other Nigerians that they were together, with the address he has, and he arrived at his father’s household in Saki.

After he returned to Saki, it was quite difficult to talk to his family members because he does not understand Yoruba language, except for the head of the household known as baba tailor who understands Hausa language, and he serves as translator between him and other family members. His family members asked him what he brought from Ghana and he replied that he brought nothing except Rosary (tesuba); and the path of Sheik Ahmad Tijani, with the authority of his leader Sheik Abdulahi Jafar Kano. The family came to a joint conclusion that Sheu Isa should join them in farming, but he refused because he came to do God’s work and that is what is paramount to him.

After six months of his arrival in Saki from Ghana, he went to visit his friend that they arrived together in Ilero, his friend name is Alhaji shittu, and that was the first place where he laid the white cloth for Wasifa in 1969. Following the challenges coming from his family members, he was taken to Ibadan by his elder sister Alhaja Hawawu, so that she can take care of him very well.

In 1970, Sheu Isa travelled to Lagos, through one of his friends known as Alhaji AbdSalam and they arrived at No 1 Ladipo street Mushin, inside a mosque.
